CV Bingo is a wonderful way of helping a child learn how to blend the consonants with the short vowel ‘a’. Once a child learns to do this they will then be able to move onto CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) blending a skill required to master the reading process.

Science tells us that first, a child should learn the sounds of letters and then a child should learn to blend the letters together. We start with the initial two – consonant-vowel, then gradually move on through three letters to the more complex blends.

This game is a fun way to practice the first step. A child who learns to blend consonant short vowel ‘a’ properly will then find blending the consonants and the other short vowels quite easy.

The game is printed on 300g card and then laminated. The cards are cut and ready to play. It comes in a zip lock back to keep the game lighter and cheaper to post.
